Organising and hosting your Klub 100 eventKlub 100 logo

  • The evenings can be hosted either on your own or with another member. Get together with someone you know, or use this as an ice breaker and ask someone you don't know - who knows where this may lead!
  • Your evening can be almost anything as long as it is pub based in some way.
  • The event should not involve you having to make a deposit or collect money from people.
  • Consider how people will get to the event, e.g. directions (postcodes and web sites are good), public transport, parking etc.
  • Consider access to and within the location e.g. disabled access, toilets etc.
  • Consider how people will find you - flag, sign, contact number etc.
  • Make sure people are aware of any costs prior to the event.
  • What is the start time for your event?
  • Email all of the above information along with a contact name and number/email and any other details you feel people need to know to klub100@k2bristol.org.uk at least a week before the event. This will then be circulated to members via email.
  • Will the location be OK for a number of people turning up and having space to mingle and chat?
  • As you meet and greet people you need to get them to sign in - just their name if they're a member or name and email contact if they have come with a member. At the end of the event pass the completed sign in sheets to either Steph or Hazel (one or both of us should be at each event).
  • Encourage mingling if you can and make sure that new people are introduced to others.
  • Idea - invite as many of your friends as you like - make sure your event goes off with a bang!!
  • If you are able to email a short report of how the event went that would be great and it can go out on the following newsletter along with any feedback received from members who attended.

Here are some ideas of things that you can do:

  • Find a pub with a skittles alley, snooker table, darts board, band playing etc.
  • Organise a walk/picnic/bike ride, visiting a pub at some point!
  • Pub and then onto a comedy club, the theatre, nightclub, cinema…or the other way round!
  • Just going to your favoured pub.

Enjoy organising and hosting your event!!
