Dating

K2 is not a dating website. However, we do plan to run some speed dating events for those who are keen.

Speed Dating

Our first event was on Wednesday 21st February 2007, which was a fantastic success. We had 19 men and 19 women who made a total of 65! 'friendship' matches and 17 'dating' matches. Click here for more details.

We ran it ourselves which kept the ticket price down (just £10) and we hope to run others in South Bristol and Bath. Thank you to Paul, Annette and Mich for running it. You did a great job.

We need people to volunteer to run future ones though so let us know if you are willing to help - it's a very good way to meet people and get your name known.

"Men - be brave"

The difficulty with speed dating events is that the men book at the last minute, and consequently events are in danger of being cancelled! So guys, we ask you "be brave", and email us now, to let us know that you want to give this a go. It'll get the ball rolling for the next event.

Similar events are also run at New Wine.

Match Me Up! (this is not yet up and running)

We are considering having a 'Match Me Up' section here. This will be an opportunity for anyone who is game to put their details here in the hope that someone will set them up with a blind date.

"Love it or hate it?"

Some people loathe the idea of being set up, but others love it - the thrill and anticipation of who it could be, and none of the leg work! I used to enjoy blind dates, but looking back it was too easy to make quick judgements about people which were often wrong. You really need to give people a chance if the relationship is going to work.

"Let's get our married friends working for us!"

It has been commented that married couples in the church often want to set people up which can be terrible if you are someone who hates the whole idea.

However, for those that love it we want to offer the opportunity to friends and married couples to set up dinner parties and dates with friends they know - in the certain knowledge that the person they are doing it for will be pleased about it, rather than angry and horrified!

If you are game please email us.

Dating Sites

Here are some UK Christian sites which are recommended. Phil & Hazel, who head up K2, met via Fusion 101.
